Ok, finally got the video posted, apparently it was a problem with the uploader, but I used the beta one (which is AWESOME, btw D:), and it uploaded just fine ^^ and fast, too O_O
Anyway...forgot to mention the fangeek moment I had the other day, lol XD
...and the one I had just tonight at the end of Rachel Maddow X3
I...I actually found an anime store that I could possibly, one day go to!! :D
I was looking through this special section in the Harrisburg newspaper while my mom was on the computer, which listed 99 things you can do in the Harrisburg area (including Hershey, Gettysburg, and others). I was skimming back through it, when the word "cosplay" caught my eye ;D
The store's called T J Perry's Anime, and it's in Hershey...which isn't too far from Harrisburg, my mom and I used to go to the wal-mart there...but, I have no idea where in Hershey this place is exactly...but I'm sure I could find it somehow! :D
It's a crappy little ad, lol, looks like the dude just made it on his computer...buuuut it says that they have plushies, t-shirts, cosplay, keychains, wall scrolls, playing cards, "and more!" All I can see in the ad is Naruto stuff, though... :/
Ooh, just saw that they'll give you a 10% discount on all items if you bring the ad in...prolly won't get there in time, though...
And it also says that they do special orders. How special, I'm not sure. :/
...and that sounded really wrong for some reason XD
ANYWAY! Yeah, I kinda went into an excited, fangirl squeal session when I found the ad, lol
(a quiet one, since my mom was in the room, albeit with her back turned :P)
I NEVER knew that there were any anime stores anywhere near where I live. Well, ok, it isn't exactly NEAR where I live, it's like, over an hour away, but I know where it is, at least ^^'
Oh man, I have to go there someday...I hope it'll still be open by then D:
Alright, my other fangirl moment of the night! ;D
I was waiting for my mom to get up from her nap, and I had MSNBC on the living room TV for some intelligent programming, and my favorite show on there, The Rachel Maddow Show, was on. I didn't pay attention to most of it because I saw it earlier, but I had to turn it off then because my mom saw Jimmy Carter on and demanded that I turn it off -.-
(she wasn't even WATCHING it, but whatever :/)
anyway, I finally got to see the end of the show when it repeated, and it turned out that her pop culture guy (yes, she has a pop culture guy XD) went to New York Comic-Con. So for the "Just Enough" portion of the show, at the very end, they played a tape of him going around asking random people at the convention which superhero could help us with the economic crisis. One dude said Spiderman, one girl said Wonder Woman, blah blah blah...there was this guy cosplaying as Batman who did an amazingly similar impression of Christian Bale's Batman voice in The Dark Knight when he was recommending Harvey Dent, lol XD And they showed this table with t-shirts, and one of them said "Republicans for Voldemort" xD (Me when I saw it: "ohmygod, that is such WIN!! XD" [said aloud xD] so, I guess that'd make it Democrats for Harry Potter...and Independents for Neville Longbottom? XD)
Then, the last person they interviewed for the piece...
HAD SORA HAIR!!! XD
I swear, it was a Sora cosplayer! D: I don't know what exactly she said because I was yelling too loud, lol, but it was something about how we all can be heroes, and when it cut back to the pop culture guy and Rachel Maddow in the studio, Rachel Maddow said something like "The one with the most interesting hair had the most interesting answer!" ^////^
I don't think either of them knew who she was cosplaying as, lol XD
But it HAD to be Sora, that hair is DISTINCTIVE.
It was a tad too spiky, though, lol :p
But it was styled and colored like Sora's hair, that's the point :P
Hah, I had NO idea that people cosplayed as Kingdom Hearts characters at comic book conventions XD I guess since they made mangas out of the KH series, it's allowed ;D
But yeah, that was totally awesome XD Wish I could show it to you guys...
OH! But they might have the show available for streaming on their website!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/
(I found the link but didn't click it for fear of my dial-up crashing -_-')
But, yeah, cosplayers = full of fun and win >D
And somebody I sort-of know is gonna cosplay as Sora this year! :D
Ah, Wendy, I can't wait to see you as Sora =D And you as Riku too, Caitlin ;D
*sigh* I'd like to cosplay someday...it'd be fun! :D
I'm thinking I'd either do Axel, Demyx, L, or Mello.
Demyx and Mello are probably the most likely/do-able ones -.-'
And in other fangirl news? I'm probably already a 9 fangirl XD
But you all probably guessed that already ;D
